Health Law Firm

Volunteer Immunity & Good Samaritan Act

Volunteers, including physicians and other volunteer workers providing medical care or services on a voluntary basis, and including voluntary members of not-for-profits and charities usually have immunity from liability for torts (negligence) committed in the course and scope of their duties. There are state statutes as well as a Federal statute which affords protection to them from liability in lawsuits.

The health law firm and its attorneys represent physicians, health care professionals, health care facilities and boards of directors or trustees on such matters.
